A Divine Service of Feeding with Devotion
A sacred page dedicated to the year-round Annaprasadam seva at Sri Jyotirvastu vidyapeetam, Fasalwadi, Sangareddy, where service is offered with humility, purity and compassion.
A Sacred Expression of Devotion, Service and Datta Sampradayam Values
Sri Jyotirvastu vidyapeetam, located at Fasalwadi in Sangareddy, is a sacred spiritual centre dedicated to devotion, selfless service and the timeless values of the Datta Sampradayam.
Among the many spiritual and social service activities conducted by the vidyapeetam, Nitya Annadanam Seva holds a special and sacred place. Throughout the year, wholesome Annaprasadam is lovingly served to devotees, pilgrims, spiritual seekers and visitors.
The Ashram strongly believes that feeding the hungry is one of the highest forms of worship and that every person who enters the sacred premises should be welcomed and served with love, humility and respect.
Serving Every Visitor as a Divine Guest
Annadanam Seva is conducted on all 365 days at Sri Jyotirvastu vidyapeetam. Fresh and wholesome Annaprasadam is prepared and served to devotees, visitors and pilgrims without distinction based on caste, creed, social status or background.
The seva is rooted in the sacred principle of “Athithi Devo Bhava”, teaching that every guest is to be received as divine. This transforms a daily meal into a graceful and deeply spiritual offering.
Preserving Sacred Firewood Cooking Practices
One of the distinctive features of this seva is the traditional use of firewood stoves. Preparation begins in the early hours of the morning, with fresh ingredients chosen carefully and cooked with purity, discipline and devotion.
This time-honoured method preserves the ancient Ashram cooking tradition, adding natural taste and aroma to the meal while sustaining the simplicity and sacred rhythm of spiritual life.
A Clean Kitchen and a Sacred Serving Atmosphere
The Annadanam kitchen, dining area and serving premises are maintained with great care to ensure cleanliness, safety and dignity for all visitors.
Where Annaprasadam Becomes a Divine Experience
As devotees gather to receive Annaprasadam, the atmosphere resounds with Datta Nama Smarana, devotional prayers and sacred chants.
Food prepared with devotion and offered to the Divine becomes Annaprasadam. It nourishes the body, brings peace to the mind and inspires gratitude in the heart, making every meal a sacred experience.

Anna Danam Maha Danam
In Sanatana Dharma, Annadanam is regarded as one of the greatest forms of charity. Food sustains life itself, and offering food to another person is therefore seen as direct service to life and to the Divine.
When food is prepared with purity, offered with devotion and served with compassion, it becomes sacred Annaprasadam. Supporting this seva is traditionally associated with peace, health, prosperity, family well-being, removal of obstacles, spiritual growth, divine grace and the merit of selfless service.
True worship is not limited to rituals and prayers. It is also expressed through kindness, generosity and service. Feeding a hungry person is regarded as an offering to the Divine present within them.
